Alone in India

So I have leaned a lesson today, that is that paying a more expensive price is sometimes worth it.  You see I booked my plane tickets after my friends and to get on the same flight as them it would cost me a lot of money.  Because of this I decided to take a flight that would let me meet up with them in London and do the last leg of the journey with them.  Somehow they never arrived to that last leg of the journey and each person I asked for help told me a different story so I boarded the plane alone.  When I arrived I tried to find out when they were coming in, make sure they were coming and okay, but I did not succeed.  I could not get any help.  So now I am at this fancy hotel, which isn't even the hotel that the group will pick me up at, 2 days early, and alone.  My friends had all the information.  Tomorrow, hopefully they will arrive, but what I will do for the next 24 hours I do not know.  Hopefully the streets are safe, because I think I will go crazy if I stay here all day.  There is someone else from the group we were supposed to meet here, but when I asked about her at the hotel desk they said they did not know of her.  Maybe she is coming in tomorrow too, I have no idea.
There was a tender mercy because I happened to think I was going to risk missing the flight in London due to a delay so I sent a text to my friend and asked her for the name of the hotel we were staying at or else I would not even be here, but stuck at the airport alone with no one able to help me figure anything out.
Next time, I think I will pay extra to get on the same flight, I am not very good at being alone in strange country.  But I am trying my best to look at this as an adventure.  Wishing any of you were here with me.  Sorry no pictures, I have to figure out how to do that still and now I think my time is about to run out.

  1. Trisha! How big and fun and exciting! And terrifying too! I would probably be too afraid to leave the hotel by myself! My Mom and I walked down the street outside of our hotel in China and it about terrified us. We got so many looks, these two white women wandering the streets of Xi'An. Good luck!
